Council Members Say Bing's Budget Hides Appointees

The song "Castaway" by the Benassi Bros. came on as I was reading this article about the City of Detroit's budget. It contains the line, "queen of my castle that's made of sand."

For some reason, that song just seems very appropriate.

It turns out that, according to the City Council's fiscal analyst Irv Corley, Mayor Dave Bing's claim to have brought the City's deficit down to $85 million is "understated by $39 million."
