Mayor Mike Duggan - Press photo
The City of Detroit has unveiled a program whereby resident will be able to purchase vacant lots next to their homes. This, of course, was part of Mayor Mike Duggan's 10-point plan to rebuild our neighborhoods.

For those who are interested in knowing more about this program, there will be an information side lot fair this Saturday, December 6 from 2 - 5 p.m.The event will happen at the Don Bosco Hall (19321 W. Chicago), which is just north of the Warrendale neighborhood in Detroit.

This event will teach Detroiters how they can buy vacant lots near them and then put those lots to use.

This program is free and open to the public. It is presented by the Detroit Land Bank Authority. Those who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by clicking here.
