Foreign Born Detroiters Throughout the Region

The folks at Data Driven Detroit have released a new demographic report. This one shows where foreign-born residents are concentrated throughout the Detroit metropolitan area. Everything is broken down by census tracks.

It would appear, after reviewing the report, that approximately 10-15% of the current population in the Warrendale neighborhood was born outside of the United States. This, by the way, is consistent with what I see from covering so many other stories in the neighborhood.

The number of immigrants in Warrendale is higher than most of metropolitan Detroit, where only an average of 8% of residents are not native to this country. However, it is much lower than nearby Dearborn.

The full report, entitled Global Detroit - Demographics, is available on-line here.
