Kevyn Orr, emergency manager for the City of Detroit, unveiled his plan to turn our local government around. An executive summary of his plan is available here. The Detroit Free Press has their coverage of it here.
Good news for residents: This plan calls for the City of Detroit to spend $1.25 billion fixing the city.
Bad news for residents: This $1.25 billion will be spread out of over ten years. With the rate that Detroit is losing population, quite frankly, I wonder if we can afford to wait that long.
