|The Scream by Edvard Munch|
Federal and state personal income tax returns must be filed no later than one week from today. The City of Detroit gives residents, and non-residents who are subject to city income taxes, until April 30 to file their city return.
If you haven't already filed, there are still several options for filing your return electronically. The Michigan Department of Treasury has several e-file options, both free and fee-based ones, available on their web site here. It is your Warrendale Tip of the Week.
Of course, if your return is more complicated and you want to talk with a tax professional, then besides blogging I also manage a Jackson Hewitt office. My contact information is available on the contact tab above.
