Detroiters to Vote on Marijuana, Proposal Heads for Ballot

Tim Beck, who headed the efforts to decriminalize medical marijuana, turned in the required petitions to put a full-scale legalization effort on the November ballot. If approved, this would allow adults to possess up to one ounce of marijuana on private property.

This ballot initiative was put together by the Coalition for a Safer Detroit. More details about it, including the full legal language of this proposal, are available on their web site.
