Update on Parking Fines

I posted last week about a trend that had emerged in downtown and midtown Detroit - aggressive parking enforcement, apparently in an attempt to plug a hole in the City's budget. I warned in my post that it was only a matter of time before this trend reached the Warrendale neighborhood. Unfortunately, it looks like it already has.

I got an email this morning from one of my readers. He reportedly came out of the Dog House Coney Island (19344 W Warren Ave.) the other day to discover that he had been ticketed for parking too close to the intersection.

It has begun.

Unfortunately, I can only think of one thing that is truly appropriate for a situation like this. My beloved readers, I give you a video that some friends of mine made two years ago.

There's never a ninja around when you truly need one.
