Rouge Park RFP.pdf (application/pdf Object)

The City of Detroit's Planning and Development Department has issued a request for proposals concerning the development of 5 parcels of land within River Rouge Park. Responses are due to the City by Friday, September 1.

It will be interesting to see who proposes what for the site.

Frank, I'm assuming that postings on this site mean that you are okay. Would you kindly sound the all-clear to let your public, AND YOUR DISTANT, FAR FLUNG FRIENDS, know that you are alright. Perhaps, you can discuss the aftermath so we might know what you've been through.

DETROIT SHOULD NOT BE SELLING
PARK LAND FOR ANY PURPOSE..
DETROIT HAS TOO MANY ABANDONED HOMES
TOO MANY ABANDONED LOTS
DETROIT NEEDS TO TEAR DOWN MORE ABANDONED HOMES AND ASSEMBLE THEM IT PARCELS THAT HOME DEVELOPERS CAN USE. WE NEED A POST WWII, HOUSING CONSTRUCTION PLAN TO BUILD
AFFORDABLE HOMES IN DETROIT - BUNGALOW WITH 2-3 BEDROOMS, NOT $200,000 HOME AND LOFTS, CONDOS..
HERMAN GARDENS SITS VACANT AS AN URBAN PRAIRIE - FOR HOW MANY YEARS IF DEVELOPERS WERE INTERESTED GIVE THEM THAT LAND TO BUILD
KILPATRICK IS CARRYING THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY PLAN TO FAR - TRYING TO SELL PARCELS OF DETROIT. WE SAW IT IN THE RACKAM GOLF COURSE CASE - WHERE THE BIDDER WAS A CONTRACTOR OF THE CITY.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH..CALL THE MAYORS OFFICE, 224 3400 OR CITY COUNCIL 224 4505 AND SAY - STOP SELLING DETROIT PARK LAND..SOME DAY WE ARE GOING TO NEED IT...
